Puppy Kindergarten & Puppy Graduate Program Structure

At One Paw Away, we believe puppyhood is one of the most important stages of development—which is why our programs are designed around consistency, structure, socialization, and daily growth. Our goal is to help puppies build strong foundations early through guided experiences that support both behavior and confidence.

Puppy Kindergarten (12 Weeks – Early Development)

Puppy Kindergarten is designed for puppies beginning at 12 weeks (3 months) old who are ready to start learning how to navigate the world in a safe, structured, and positive environment.

Program Requirements:

  • Minimum Attendance: 2 days per week
  • Hours: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Rate: $125 per day

Flexible Scheduling:

You choose the days that work best for your family.

  • Keep the same days each week
  • Adjust your days based on your schedule
  • Build consistency that fits your lifestyle

What Puppies Learn Daily

Puppy Kindergarten is more than supervised play—it’s a developmental program designed to reinforce:

  • Basic obedience
  • Positive socialization
  • Daily exercise
  • Confidence building
  • Healthy play habits
  • Routine and structure
  • Exposure to handling and real-world experiences

Through guided repetition, puppies begin learning important life skills while building better habits from the start.

Small, Thoughtful Puppy Groups

Puppy groups are intentionally kept small—typically 5–7 puppies—to create a safer, more controlled developmental environment.

Grouping Includes:

  • Small group sizes
  • Male and female separation until spayed or neutered
  • Personality and energy matching
  • Guided socialization
  • Structured play and rest

This approach helps puppies develop safely without becoming overwhelmed.

Puppy Graduate (The Next Step)

Once puppies complete Puppy Kindergarten, they move into Puppy Graduate to maintain consistency while continuing to mature socially and behaviorally.

Program Requirements:

  • Minimum Attendance: 1 day per week
  • Additional days always welcome
  • Rate: $75 per day

Puppies remain in Puppy Graduate until 1 year old and spayed or neutered. At that point, they may transition into adult daycare if approved.

Why This Structure Matters

By combining basic obedience, socialization, daily exercise, and routine, we help puppies develop into more confident, balanced, and well-rounded dogs.
Because Puppy Kindergarten isn’t just about today—it’s about building better dogs for life.

What Your Puppy Learns

Puppy Kindergarten is designed to help puppies build real-life skills during one of the most important developmental stages. Through daily structure, repetition, socialization, and guided experiences, puppies begin learning the foundations that support success both here and at home.

Puppies Build:

  • Basic obedience foundations and name recognition
  • Positive socialization with puppies and appropriate adult dogs
  • Confidence building and healthy boundaries
  • Structured routines for play, rest, and learning
  • Mental and physical enrichment throughout the day

Our goal is to help puppies develop into confident, well-rounded dogs—not just tired puppies.

Program Structure

Puppy Kindergarten is a full-day, drop-off-only developmental program designed to create consistency, routine, and positive habits.

Program Includes:

  • Full-day puppy school
  • Training sessions naturally woven throughout the day
  • Guided socialization
  • Daily exercise
  • One-on-one attention
  • Rest and decompression breaks
  • Gradual progression from acclimation to confidence

Each puppy progresses at their own pace, allowing us to build trust, structure, and growth without overwhelming them.

Important: Puppy Kindergarten is required before joining our daycare or boarding programs. We believe building the right foundation first creates safer, more successful long-term experiences.

What Makes Puppy Kindergarten Different

At One Paw Away, Puppy Kindergarten is intentionally designed for growing minds—not nonstop chaos. Young puppies need more than play alone. They need structure, rest, guidance, and positive repetition to help shape manners, routine, and confidence. That’s why our program includes plenty of breaks, one-on-one attention, and thoughtful guidance throughout the day.

Our Puppy Kindergarten Approach Includes:

  • Guided basic obedience reinforcement
  • Positive socialization
  • Daily exercise
  • Small group play
  • One-on-one time with staff
  • Frequent rest and decompression breaks
  • Manners development
  • Routine building

Why Breaks & One-on-One Time Matter

Puppies are constantly learning—and too much stimulation can quickly become overwhelming. By balancing social play with structured downtime and personalized attention, we help puppies begin developing:

  • Better manners
  • Patience
  • Healthy routines
  • Listening skills
  • Confidence
  • Emotional balance

This creates a more thoughtful developmental experience where puppies can learn when to play, when to settle, and how to build positive habits.

Building Better Puppies
Through Routine

Your puppy’s early experiences matter—and the right structure can make all the difference. Give your puppy the guidance, routine, and confidence-building support they need during their most important learning stage. Start with Puppy Kindergarten and build the foundation for a lifetime of success.

Our goal is to help puppies develop structure that supports both daycare success and life at home. Because Puppy Kindergarten isn’t just about keeping puppies busy—it’s about helping them grow into well-rounded dogs through play, rest, guidance, and repetition.

At One Paw Away, we believe routine starts early—and the right foundation can make all the difference.
