Before opening our doors, our founders saw firsthand how many facilities prioritized volume over individualized care. Traditional kennels often felt cold, overstimulating, and impersonal—places where dogs were left alone for long periods without the attention, structure, or comfort they deserve.
We knew there had to be a better way.
At One Paw Away, we believe dogs should never feel isolated or forgotten. That’s why we provide an overnight sitter on-site every night, ensuring comfort, safety, and continuous care around the clock.

From Humble Beginnings to a Trusted Dog Resort
Our story began with hands-on work—socializing dogs, building confidence, and creating structured environments for pups who needed extra guidance. What started as a small, personalized approach quickly grew as families recognized the difference in care, attention, and expertise.
With backgrounds in hospitality, training, and canine nutrition, our owners brought together the best of both worlds—professional standards paired with a warm, home-style atmosphere. From the beginning, the focus was never on volume, but on thoughtful, individualized care for every dog.
As our community grew, so did our vision. One Paw Away has evolved into a full-service dog resort—offering daycare, boarding, grooming, and puppy education all under one roof—while staying true to what matters most: structure, safety, and genuine connection.
Today, we continue to raise the standard, creating an environment where dogs feel comfortable, supported, and truly part of the family—and where pet parents can trust that their dogs are in caring, capable hands every step of the way.

One Paw Away is proudly owner-operated, with Jamie and Clay involved in daily operations, evaluations, and decision-making. Their hands-on approach ensures consistency, accountability, and a level of care that simply can’t be replicated in high-volume environments.
At home, their passion for animals extends far beyond the business. With their own dogs, Eli and Hops, their cat Lily, along with chickens, fish, and more, caring for animals isn’t just what they do—it’s who they are

To uphold our standards, all dog evaluations are personally conducted and approved by the owners. This ensures that every dog in our care is a safe and appropriate fit, allowing us to maintain balanced group dynamics and a secure environment for all guests.
